Who, what, why, where, and how are the residents of planet Earth moving? We've heard about Dance , Travel and Transportation. Join us as we explore Immigration and Migration. Bio: Arissa H. Oh was born in Korea, raised in Canada, and somehow ended up making a life in the United States. She is Associate Professor of History at Boston College, where she teaches classes in Asian American history and US immigration history – particularly as it intersects with race, gender, and kinship. Her first book, about the origins of international adoption, explored the Korean War origins of the practice. She is now working on a book about marriage migration in US history. She lives in Chestnut Hill with her husband and 2 daughters.

Starting Feb. 6 and continuing through to this March 6 MNO, we're collecting gently-used, like-new household items for "Welcome Home," a local 501(c)(3) non profit that provides families who are experiencing hardship (incl. those from Ukraine and Afghanistan) with needed household items. List of needed items. Prior to March 6, you can also drop off items on Eve's porch - 863 Commonwealth Ave. - Thank you!
