Join us for our signature speaker series, Moms' Night Out! Our final event of the season will be held on Monday, May 6, from 7-9 pm at the Carroll Center for the Blind's Technology Center.
Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Amy Banks, a researcher and scholar studying “the neurobiology of relationship” and has an ongoing passion to spread the message that we are hardwired for connection. She is the author of Wired to Connect: The Surprising Link Between Brain Science and Strong Healthy Relationships and Four Ways to Click: Rewire Your Brain for Stronger, More Rewarding Relationships. Dr. Banks has devoted her career to understanding the neurobiology of relationships; in addition to her work as Senior Research Scientist at the Jean Baker Miller Training Institute, she is a writer and speaker. Dr. Banks will talk about the four most important ingredients for close relationships: calmness, acceptance, emotional resonance, and energy. She will also discuss the tools one needs to strengthen the parts of the brain that encourage connection with others.
Our community spotlight speaker will be Reva Haselkorn from Newton Community Farm. Find out more about this great local organization at www.newtoncommunityfarm.org
We will have a delicious catered meal from a local restaurant, as well as wine, so plan to enjoy dinner with us!
